There is so much free stuff about the plant-based diet on the internet. Why pay for this eCourse?

  • Unlike other nutrition gurus, Dr. Ettinger has extensive experience on the subject of deficiencies and metabolic derangements in childhood. As a pediatric kidney specialist he diagnosed and/or managed the following in children:

Rickets due to Vitamin D resistance
Low protein due to the Nephrotic Syndrome
Low calcium due to Chronic Kidney Disease
    Failure to Thrive
    Scurvy
    Metabolic Acidosis
    Iron Deficiency Anemia
Low magnesium level due to a rare genetic condition
Low magnesium level due to a side effect of a kidney transplant medicine
    And more...

Most pediatric providers only see a few of these rare diagnoses in their whole career. For Dr. Ettinger this was a typical clinic day problem list for the 16+ years he was an Attending Physician at a major metropolitan area tertiary care center children's hospital. He shares his expertise here so that you can learn how to avoid similar outcomes due to a poorly planned diet.

  • Yes, there is information of varying quality about this topic scattered around the internet. Dr. Ettinger brings to this eCourse a curated collection of stories and research studies that has taken him years to gather.

Since the 90's Dr. Ettinger has been compiling and interpreting medical studies to keep up to date in his own practice and to teach student doctors. Since 2017 he has been delivering presentations about the plant-based diet to community groups, nurses, medical students, and doctors at local and national conferences. Those talks and more appear in these lessons.

  • Most of the plant-based information available online and in books is for adults seeking better health. This eCourse is a rare gem focused on the plant-based diet for children.

There is a saying in Pediatrics: "Children are not just little adults." The plant-based diet can help an adult lose weight, prevent and reverse chronic disease, and even get their mojo back, but the plant-based diet for children has different purposes. In this age group, the plant-based diet's goals may be to prevent diseases (including obesity) but also must ensure expected growth, avoid deficiencies, and energize a child for school and for sports.

  • The Cronometer tutorial within is unique.

There are just a few Cronometer tutorials online. Cronometer is a nutrient tracking app. Thanks to Mic the Vegan there is one tutorial available for plant-based folks on Youtube from 2017. There are none made for feeding plant-based children...so Dr. Ettinger made one. And, when Cronometer updated in November of 2022 Dr. Ettinger updated the tutorial in the eCourse as well.

  • This eCourse may suit your learning style.

If reading books filled with text, listening to podcasts, or talking to your own pediatrician are not meeting your parenting needs then you may be more of a visual learner who will better absorb the explanatory imagery found in these short and repeatable video lessons.

  • But the cost....

This eCourse is an investment for the future. Those who complete these lessons are likely to gain a newfound nutrition mastery that will last a lifetime. And graduates will earn peace of mind that their child's nutrition is optimized despite what others may say about the dangers of the plant-based diet.

Did you (or will you) get braces for your child? That one time investment usually gives a young person a nice smile for the rest of their life. Likewise, this one time investment will hopefully give your youngster excellent nutrition through their growing years and beyond.
